To be perfectly frank, we think the padlock fastener is one of the least secure fasteners ever invented for jewellery, but it seems to have been invented at the same time as the charm bracelet. Everybody who buys a charm bracelet always wants it with a padlock fastener. Although we don't like safety chains on many pieces of jewellery, it is highly recommended if not essential on a charm bracelet.

Standard length for ladies is about 7.5 inches or 19 cms.
