Gents Bracelet
It makes an excellent gent's bracelet in 8.5" length, which weighs approximately 1 ounce. Similar chains in Argos, the well known catalogue showroom are priced between £6.40 (unbevelled) to £8.32 per gram (bevelled).
Our "Internet Gold Club" price is just £4.95 per gram!
(All weights and "per gram" price are approximate due to slight weight variation with production batches.)

At our special offer price, we are selling these chains at about a 50% saving compared with retail prices.
Because we intended to include this offer in our "launch announcement", we decided to do a little comparison shopping, so we asked a friend to check other local prices. the results were very interesting.
Our nearest price competitor was a down-market "half price" discount mutiple retailer, not known for selling high quality, its price was £169 or about £5.43 per gram. Just 10% dearer than us.
Argos weren't bad at £199, about £6.40 per gram, (we were 23% cheaper), but their one ounce bracelet didn't have bevelled edges. Their nearest weight with bevelled edges worked out at £7.50 per gram, making us 34% cheaper.
The next closest was a good honest competitive local retailer, who didn't have an exact 1 ounce bracelet, but gave us prices on other weights, which worked out to about £250, or £8 per gram, making us 38% cheaper.
At a good quality, well respected multiple retailer, they did not have the exact weight, but the nearest ones worked out at about £12.50 and £14.50 per gram, making us 60% to 66% cheaper.
At a branch of one of the largest multiple jewellery retailers, they did not know what any of their bracelets weighed because they did not have in the shop "the right equipment for measuring the weight" (scales!). The assistant did say that he could phone their head office special orders department to find out which of their products matched our description, but when we called back the next day, he was off, and we had to repeat the procedure. A week later, and we still did not know any more. Our theory is that "head office" knows just how expensive their products are, so deliberately try to keep their sales staff ignorant so they cannot do any harm. We would love to name the shop or its parent group, but they would drown us in solicitors letters, and even though we are only interested in telling the truth, (you can duplicate our test yourself to confirm the truth), it would cost us so much in time and legal expenses that we would probably run out of money before they did.
At a branch of a different store chain owned by the same parent company, the story was almost the same. When we find out their price, we will publish it here.
